Our clients had purchased a beautiful old English cottage in a magnificent setting. The cottage was in sore need of a gut rehab plus a sizable addition, but we did not want the end result to be the addition that ate the cottage. We collaborated as a team with our clients to create a beautiful home that maintained the aesthetics of the original cottage while blending the new addition seamlessly into the home. The roof was especially challenging – we called it the “Drunken Elves Roof” and it was difficult to find the craftsmen who were creative and technically savvy enough to match the existing. The stone work is impeccable. We simply brought the cottage into the 21st Century, with the able assistance of the owner.
